Custom 12x6 Telehandler Platform Attachment Built From Scratch

Sometimes the right attachment just doesn't exist off a shelf. That's exactly the situation here - a customer needed a 12' x 6' work platform built specifically to mount on a telehandler forklift, and what was available commercially either didn't fit right or wasn't built to the standard the job demanded. So we built one from scratch.

The frame is all structural steel - welded square tubing laid out in a tight grid pattern that gives the platform real rigidity across the full 12-foot span. No flex, no soft spots. The perimeter guardrail system runs the full length and width of the platform with expanded metal mesh panels tied into the uprights, which keeps workers contained without blocking sightlines on the job site.

We also incorporated D-ring tie points into the base frame on both ends. That's not an afterthought - it's the kind of detail that matters when a piece of equipment like this is getting used at height. The attachment points on the forklift side are sized and positioned to slot cleanly onto the telehandler carriage, so connection is straightforward every time it gets deployed.

This is what custom metal fabrication is actually for. Not every situation fits a catalog solution, and when it doesn't, having something built to the exact specs of your equipment and your job means you're not improvising on site. The platform came out clean, solid, and ready to work.
